Matthew Bock is a senior policy analyst in the Strategic Policy team at the Canadian Forest Service, Natural Resources Canada, Government of Canada (Ottawa). In terms of education, he has a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Northern British Columbia, and an M.A. in Asia Pacific Policy Studies from the University of British Columbia. Matthew is an alumnus of the Government of Canada's Advanced Policy Analyst Program. In his current role, he has led the development of a Forest Bioeconomy Framework for Canada and currently supports the implementation of the Canadian Wildland Fire Strategy. Matthew is originally from Prince George, British Columbia, and enjoys the outdoors due to the lack of mountains around Ottawa he has switched from downhill to cross-country skiing. He is an alumnus of the 2017 Emerging Leaders for Sustainable Community Development program.
