Eric is a Carrier First Nations youth who grew up in the Cariboo of British Columbia. Out here it is all about connection and fostering youth and self-expression and identity. Eric is a Friendship Centre baby; growing up in the movement he is a natural born leader and volunteer. Eric is extremely passionate when it comes to meaningful youth engagement and elder-youth connections. Eric is extremely honoured to be a recognized voice for his work in ending violence, and for his volunteerism. Eric tries to always go forward with the knowledge that everyday has a new possibility for something amazing to happen, and he strives to take up each amazing possibility when it comes about. When he thinks of life in the urban world, it is all about ensuring prosperity for yourself and the people surrounding you. Eric has worked primarily with marginalized populations and groups of people offering targeted services and trainings, to aid in betterment of personal life and professional cares. Youth at Risk and Potential Youth at Risk are an area of expertise, and connecting and fostering development is the scope of the work. He is an alumnus of the 2017 Emerging Leaders for Sustainable Community Development program.
